01 — Our story

Richard Timmons founded Timmons&Company in 1974 to help technical companies market what they make. For more than 50 years, the firm has worked with manufacturers, industrial suppliers, building products companies and technology companies whose products take real expertise to explain.

Bob Kent has led Timmons&Company for more than 20 years. Trained as an engineer at Drexel University, he brings a builder's mindset to marketing: understand how the product works, who has to approve the purchase, and what proof they need. Then build the website, content and sales tools that give it to them.

02 — How we're built

Timmons&Company is principal-led. Bob Kent brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in strategic marketing, sales, product management and business development, including programs for multinational companies. His engineering degree from Drexel University means he learns technical products quickly and understands how your buyers evaluate them.

Bob works directly with your leadership team to set strategy, then stays involved through every phase of execution. You get senior perspective on every decision, clear accountability, and no hand-offs to junior account managers.

03 — What we believe

Four rules we work by

Understand the product first.

Good marketing for technical companies starts with knowing how things work.

Measure pipeline, not activity.

Rankings and traffic matter only if they bring in qualified buyers.

Stay current.

We know AI tools well, understand their limits, and help clients use them well.

Stay for the long haul.

Our longest relationships run for years because we keep earning them.
